Olympic Committees from three continents seal the CONPaaS Project
The COE and 27 National Olympic Committees of three continents have sealed today, after a videoconference directed from Spain by President Alejandro Blanco, the implementation of the most ambitious computer project that counts the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and that is directed , promoted and coordinated by the Spanish Olympic Committee.
Funded by Olympic Solidarity and sponsored by the IOC, this project began to lay its foundations in Spain in a meeting held in 2015 with all participating National Olympic Committees.
The IOC and Olympic Solidarity have supported this idea launched and led by the COE, since it is the first time in the Olympic Movement that National Olympic Committees from three continents are involved in such a large project.
The aim is to create a “Platform as a service for the NOCs” named “CONPaaS” (CON-National Olympic Committees, Platform as a Service), devised and presented at the first ICT Seminar held in Madrid in November 2015 with the participation of 27 speaking countries in Spanish and Portuguese: Andorra, Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala , Equatorial Guinea, Honduras, Mexico, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Dominican R., Uruguay and Venezuela. In addition, the presence of representatives of Olympic Solidarity and the IOC.
