The British Olympic Committee is interested in the CONPaaS program
The Director of Technologies of the Spanish Olympic Committee, Manuel Pastrana; and his counterpart in Human Resources and Marketing, Manuel Parga, held today, Thursday, January 17, a meeting with two representatives of the British Olympic Committee to present the CONPaaS Project.
The secretary general of the Olympic body, Victoria Cabezas, wanted to personally greet the manager of the technological services of the British Committee, Martin Oakley; and financial director David Glassey; and he was interested in the conclusions reached after the exhibition.
Both Pastrana and Parga made known the most relevant points of this Spanish initiative where ideas are combined to create a common computer system in all the National Olympic Committees, with their own identity.
The aim is to create a “Platform as a service for the NOCs” named “CONPaaS” (CON – National Olympic Committees, Platform as a Service), devised and presented at the first ICT Seminar held in Madrid in November 2015 with the participation of 27 speaking countries in Spanish and Portuguese: Andorra, Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Cape Verde, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala , Equatorial Guinea, Honduras, Mexico, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Dominican R., Uruguay and Venezuela.
